How do I book a studio session?

You can book a studio session through our website's booking form, by emailing us directly at contact@smokeandstrings.in, or by calling our studio at +91-9266621314.
What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session may incur a 50% charge. Rescheduling is free if done more than 48 hours in advance.
What should I bring to my session?

Please bring your instruments, any reference tracks, lyrics/sheets, and ideas. For vocalists, we recommend bringing water and avoiding dairy products before recording. We provide all necessary recording equipment.
Technical Support
What file formats do you accept for mixing/mastering?

We accept WAV, AIFF, and FLAC files at 24-bit/48kHz or higher. Please send individual stems (tracks) rather than a mixed stereo file. We also accept Pro Tools, Logic, and Ableton Live project files.
How long does mixing/mastering take?

Mixing typically takes 3-5 days per song, while mastering takes 1-2 days. Complex projects or multiple revisions may take longer. We'll provide an estimated timeline when you submit your project.
Do you provide stems after production?

Yes, we provide all final stems upon request. We recommend requesting stems at the beginning of the project. There may be an additional fee for stem delivery on certain package tiers.
Billing & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards, UPI payments, bank transfers, and PayPal. For studio sessions, a 50% deposit is required to confirm booking, with the balance due on the day of the session.
Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible payment plans for larger projects. Typically, we require a 30% deposit to begin work, with the remaining balance split over 1-3 months. Contact us to discuss custom payment arrangements.
When will I receive my invoice?

Invoices are sent immediately after project completion or session completion. For ongoing projects, invoices are sent at milestone completions. All invoices are delivered via email in PDF format.
Music Production
Can you work with my existing recordings?

Absolutely! We regularly mix and master recordings done in other studios or home setups. We'll assess your files and let you know if any re-recording is recommended for optimal results.
How many revisions are included?

Our standard packages include 2 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions are available at a discounted rate. We work closely with you to ensure you're happy with the final product.
Do you help with song arrangement?

Yes, we offer arrangement consultation as part of our production services. We can help structure your song, suggest instrumentation, and provide creative input to enhance your composition.
